Cornwall SCITT is approved to run the Assessment Only route to Qualified Teacher Status.

If you are a very experienced unqualified teacher with a degree, and having taught in 2 schools you think you already meet all of the standards for qualified teacher status (QTS), then you can apply for a place on the Assessment Only (AO) route to QTS.

The AO route to QTS allows you to demonstrate that you already meet all the Teachers' standards without the need for any further training. You will need to present detailed evidence, and your teaching will be assessed in a school by an accredited provider. This should take no more than one term. You must demonstrate that you meet the fundamental English and Mathematics requirements, and that you hold the requisite qualifications before you can be registered on this route.
